О пользе солнца

Умеренное количество солнечных лучей необходимо нам и для здоровья, и для красоты нашей кожи, и для хорошего настроения.

  • Под действием солнечных лучей в нашем организме вырабатывается витамин D, который необходим для формирования костей.
  • При недостатке ультрафиолета снижается синтез коллагена, что приводит к дряблости кожи и появлению морщин.
  • Солнечные лучи способствуют выработке гормонов счастья, повышают настроение и укрепляют иммунитет.

Другими словами, вредно не само ультрафиолетовое облучение, а его избыток.

Защита от солнца

Как же защититься от чрезмерного воздействия солнечных лучей? Прежде всего нужно ограничивать время пребывания на солнце и не загорать в период с 10 до 16 часов.

Природа дала нам отличный встроенный механизм для ограничения пребывания на солнце. Стоит переборщить – и обычный белый человек становится красным как рак, а в худшем случае еще и покрывается волдырями.

Но при использовании солнцезащитных средств мы теряем этот естественный контроль и соответственно снижается наша бдительность. Фильтры, которые защищают нас от лучей спектра В, не дают сильно обгореть. Поэтому современный человек нередко валяется на пляже по 2-3 часа в самое пекло и не покрывается волдырями, чему естественно безумно рад!

А радоваться, конечно, нечему. Ни один солнцезащитный крем не даёт стопроцентной защиты от чрезмерного воздействия солнечных лучей. Другими словами крем с SPF предназначен не для того, чтобы мы подольше валялись на пляжах, а для того, чтобы усилить защиту во время вынужденного длительного пребывания на солнце.

Фототипы кожи по Фитцпатрику

Существует такое понятие как минимальная эритемная доза – это доза солнечного облучения, которая вызывает минимальное видимое покраснение кожи. Эта доза индивидуальна и зависит от фототипа.

Все люди делятся на 6 фототипов в зависимости от цвета кожи:

  1. Кельтский тип – никогда не загорают, всегда обгорают – светлая кожа, часто с веснушками, рыжие или блондины, светлые глаза.
  2. Европейский нордический тип – иногда загорают, но чаще обгорают – светлокожие, светло-русые волосы, иногда темно-русые, светлые глаза.
  3. Среднеевропейский тип – хорошо загорают, иногда обгорают – карие или светлые глаза, темно-русые или каштановые волосы и кожа цвета слоновой кости без веснушек.
  4. Средиземноморский тип – хорошо загорают, никогда не обгорают, темные глаза, темные волосы и смуглая кожа без веснушек.
  5. Индонезийский или восточный тип – всегда загорают, никогда не обгорают – смуглая кожа, темные волосы и глаза.
  6. Африканский – никогда не обгорают – очень темная кожа, черные волосы и глаза.

Что такое SPF

SPF – это солнцезащитный фактор (Sun Protection Factor, СПФ), который показывает сколько вы можете просидеть на солнце до того, как обгорите. Или если сказать более точно – во сколько раз увеличивается минимальная эритемная доза при использовании данного солнцезащитного средства.

Например, если без солнцезащитных средств ваша кожа обычно краснеет через 5 минут пребывания на пляже, то при использовании средства с SPF 10 вы можете не обгорать до 50 минут.

Конечно же, эти цифры весьма условны и дают лишь примерное представление о том, насколько вы защищены от лучей спектра В, которые и вызывают эритему (покраснение кожи) и солнечные ожоги.

Однако, SPF не показывает, насколько вы защищены от лучей спектра А. Эти лучи более коварны – они не вызывают покраснения и какого-либо дискомфорта, но проникают глубоко в кожу и способствуют фотостарению.

И хотя многие современные солнцезащитные средства содержат как физические так и химические фильтры, которые защищают и от лучей спектра А и от лучей спектра В, до сих пор доподлинно неизвестно – можно ли полностью предотвратить фотостарение с помощью солнцезащитных средств.

Так что самой надежной защитой от чрезмерного воздействия солнечных лучей и по сей день является – ограничение пребывания на солнце

Cтепень защиты

Какую степень защиты обеспечивают средства с SPF? Условно солнцезащитные средства делятся на следующие группы:

  • SPF 2-4 – базовая защита, защищает от 50-75% УФ
  • SPF 4-10 – средняя степень защиты, защищает от 85% УФ
  • SPF 10-20 – высокая степень защиты, защищает от 95% УФ
  • SPF 20-30 – интенсивная защита, защищает от 97% УФ
  • SPF 50 – санблок, защищает от 99,5% УФ

То есть разница между кремом с SPF 30 и SPF 50 очень незначительная. А средства с SPF выше 50 на сегодняшний день уже не соответствуют современным стандартам.

Состав солнцезащитного крема

В состав современных солнцезащитных средств обычно входят как физические так и химические фильтры.

Физические фильтры создают экран и таким образом отражают солнечные лучи спектра В. В составах солнцезащитных средств вы можете встретить такие фильтры как:

  • Диоксид титана (titanium dioxide)
  • Оксид цинка (zinc oxide)

Химические фильтры адсорбируют ультрафиолетовые лучи. К ним относятся:

  • Tinosorb S (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine)
  • Авобензон (butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane)
  • Бензофенон и другие

Вред солнцезащитных средств

Как вы уже наверно догадываетесь, разные степени защиты существуют неспроста и выбирать нужно средства не с максимальным, а с оптимальным SPF. Оптимальным именно для вас.

Потому что солнцезащитные фильтры в больших количествах сами могут оказывать вредное воздействие на кожу.

Например, химические фильтры могут вызывать аллергические реакции, а физические фильтры могут спровоцировать обострение угревой болезни.

Как выбрать солнцезащитный крем

Как выбрать солнцезащитное средство, подходящее именно вам? Для этого нужно учитывать сразу несколько факторов:

  • Ваш возраст
  • Образ жизни
  • Состояние кожи
  • Индекс ультрафиолета в вашем регионе

Как вы уже наверное догадываетесь – дать совет универсальный для всех практически нереально.

Так как я живу и работаю в Киеве, то прежде всего интересуюсь ситуацией в Украине. Поэтому я дам рекомендации, которые подойдут прежде всего киевлянам и жителям большинства других городов Украины, а также жителям стран с похожим климатом – например, России и Беларуси, где примерно такая же ситуация с озоновым слоем и индексом ультрафиолета.

Ну, а если вы живёте в Америке, Австралии, Таиланде, Израиле или Испании вам лучше проконсультироваться с местными специалистами или изучить ситуацию в вашем регионе самостоятельно.

Индекс Ультрафиолета (UVI / UV Index)

Украинцам повезло – у нас в стране ситуация с озоновым слоем получше, чем во многих других странах и индекс ультрафиолета не очень-то высокий. В осенне-зимний период, когда мы полгода ходим в шапках, уггах и перчатках и у нас открыто только лицо – использовать солнцезащитный крем с высоким SPF не только нецелесообразно, но и вредно.

Потому что в таком случае вы будете испытывать недостаток ультрафиолета и получите те самые проблемы, от которых надеетесь защититься – снижение синтеза коллагена, витамина D и как следствие старение кожи, хрупкость костей и плохое настроение.

Возраст

Помимо места проживания, немаловажное значение имеет возраст – молодая и зрелая кожа до 30-35 лет защищается от солнца гораздо лучше, чем в более старшем возрасте. Так что с возрастом защиту нужно усиливать.

Образ жизни

Ну и конечно, нужно учитывать образ жизни. Одно дело, если вы офисный планктон, и весь день проводите в помещении, и другое дело, если вы молодая мама и целыми днями гуляете с коляской.

Ошибки применения солнцезащитного крема с SPF

Наверное всем вам знакома ситуация: пляж, человек расположился в шезлонге и начинается мазаться солнцезащитным кремом. А потом тюбик с кремом стоит пару часов под палящем солнце на столике рядом с лежаком. Неудивительно, если такой человек в итоге прилично обгорит.

  • Солнцезащитные средства нужно наносить как минимум за 20 минут до выхода на солнце, то есть еще дома или в номере гостиницы. Иначе вы успеете обгореть еще до того, как химические фильтры начнут действовать.
  • Солнцезащитный крем нужно обновлять после каждого купания или каждые 2 часа пребывания на солнце. Иначе солнцезащитные фильтры потеряют свою эффективность и принесут больше вреда, чем пользы.
  • Солнцезащитное средство не должно находится под прямыми солнечными лучами – на пляже убирайте тюбик с кремом в сумку, иначе фильтры очень быстро потеряют свою эффективность.

Химические пилинги, кислоты, ретинол

Крем с высоким SPF является незаменимой составляющей ухода для тех, кто проходит курс химических пилингов или использует в домашних условиях средства с кислотами и ретинолом.

В таких случаях чувствительность к солнцу существенно повышается, и без высокой защиты кожа может отреагировать на солнечные лучи покраснением, раздражением и пигментными пятнами.

Макияж и как часто обновлять солнцезащитный крем

Один из частых вопросов, что делать с макияжем если крем c химическими фильтрами необходимо обновлять каждые 2 часа? Наносить крем с SPF поверх тонального крема или удалить весь макияж и нанести крем на очищенное лицо заново?

Химические фильтры действительно окисляются под воздействием ультрафиолетовых лучей и превращаются в свободные радикалы, которые наносят коже ещё больше вреда, чем ультрафиолетовое излучение.

Но окисляются они не каждые 2 часа, а каждые 2 часа пребывания на солнце. И соответственно солнцезащитный крем нужно обновлять не каждые 2 часа, а каждые 2 часа пребывания на солнце. Не важно, 2 часа подряд или суммарно за день.

Например, если вы утром за полчаса пешочком добрались до работы, в обед на 15 минут вышли в кафе, и вечером так же в течение получаса прогулялись, вернулись домой, то вам обновлять солнцезащитный крем не нужно. Потому что вы провели на солнце суммарно меньше 2 часов.

Но если вы например гуляете на экскурсии, где-нибудь возле пирамид в Египте под палящим солнцем уже 2 часа, то в таком случае действительно лучше полностью смыть крем, очистить лицо и нанести солнцезащитный крем заново. А если есть необходимость, то заново нанести и макияж.
