В этот день, в парке воинской славы прошел митинг, посвященный очередной годовщине вывода советских войск из Афганистана. На мероприятие пришли ветераны Афганистана, члены ветеранских общественных организаций и школьники. Среди присутствующих на митинге были и жены ветеранов афганской войны. В парке звучали песни, посвященные боевым действиям того времени. В памятной церемонии приняли участие глава Новоселовского района Александр Венделинович Гергарт, председатель районного совета депутатов Людмила Юрьевна Толстикова, военный комиссар отдела Военного Комиссариата Красноярского Края по Новосёловскому району Евгений Михайлович Рудченко, ветеран боевых действий в Афганистане Александр Иванович Бырдин, учащиеся средней образовательной школы №5, председатель районного совета ветеранов Мария Николаевна Осипенко. Участники митинга почтили память всех погибших минутой молчания.
