28 декабря 2017 года в районной библиотеке собрались члены клуба «Общение» на конурсно – развлекательную программу «Шутки под елкой». Новый год 2018 будет проходить под покровительством дружелюбной и верной Желтой Собаки. Ведущие вечера в преддверии Нового года ознакомили с правилами поведения в 2018 году. Гостям нужно было отгадать загадки и зазвать свистом хозяйку Нового года. Участникам конкурса предстояло поприветствовать хозяйку нового года и станцевать «Собачий вальс», изобразить смешные рожицы собак, закрытыми глазами определить по запаху предмет. Кульминаций вечера стало появление Бабы – Яги. Гостья провела с присутствующими конкурс «Собачья песня». Участники прогавкали под музыку, на собачьем языке, такие знакомые и любимые нами песни «В лесу родилась елочка» и «Калинка – малинка». Поиграли в веселую и забавную игру «фанты», где участникам предстояло исполнить танец маленьких лебедей и чечётку, спеть веселую частушку и песню о любви, рассказать стих, как в детстве на стуле и сказать самой себе сногсшибательный комплимент. Настроение у всех присутствующих на мероприятии было праздничное. А завершилось оно дружеским чаепитием и беспроигрышной лотерей.
